About KCRC

Knox County Radio Control Society, Inc. is an AMA-chartered club serving Knoxville, TN, and surrounding communities. Located in west Knox County on Williams Bend Road near Melton Hill Park, our field features a 345-foot paved runway on a scenic hilltop overlooking Melton Hill Lake. A covered pit area provides shelter from the elements, and numerous starting benches provide ample room for you to start your engines and work on your models.

KCRC is open 365 days a year from 9:00 a.m. to dusk. On warm days, you can almost always find someone flying there. Weekends, of course, tend to see the most activity. Members fly a variety of models, from trainers and pattern planes to warbirds and helicopters. Guests are always welcome, and whether you're a modeler or just an interested spectator, we'd be happy to show you around the field and give you an up-close look at our models.
